This bronze sculpture by Olga Rozsa is a replica of the monument Gloria Victis. The original sculpture currently resides in the atrium of the California state office building in San Francisco, California. This elegant sculpture features a kneeling mother who mourns her fallen young.
Description of Sculpture
This elegant bronze was created to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. At that time, there was a nationwide revolt against the government of the Hungarian People’s Republic and its Soviet-imposed policies.
