Out West Art Show and Sale
I had the great pleasure of attending the 2019 Out West Art Show this year. The amount of artwork in the various locations throughout Great Falls is overwhelming. However, meeting the artists and viewing their work up close and personal was the highlight of my trip.
If you are are a collector who is thinking about attending, I definitely recommend it!
What Events To Attend
There are many activities to choose from. I especially enjoyed browsing the artist’s display of art in their rooms at the Heritage Inn. Although the Mansfield Convention Center where the Skull Society artists display their artwork was a smaller venue, the artwork sure did pack a punch.
Watching “Art in Action” at the Meadowlark Country Club where 28 established artists paint among collectors and then auction off their paintings was very exciting. And the best part is that all proceeds from the sale benefit the CM Russell Museum.

About the Show
This is a great show to attend for both collectors and artists, alike.
This show runs during Western Art Week in Great Falls – in March every year – and is why Great Falls is the capital of the western art world!
The Out West Art Show & Sale at the Heritage Inn, Great Falls, Montana offers the premier artwork that western art patrons have come to expect at western art week in Montana. This event features the works of more than 140 artists from the United States and Canada at one of the largest art shows in the country.
Visitors can browse 110 artists’ exhibition rooms, and eight gallery showrooms. Events include the quick finish, where artists create a piece in a short amount of time and then they are auctioned.
Artists of Tomorrow
In addition to presenting work from premier painters and sculptors from across the United States, the Out West Art Foundation works with local area high schools, mentoring tomorrows artists in the Young Masters Program.
The Out West Art Show & Sale is an event produced by the Out West Art Foundation, Inc. a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
