Summer ArtFest at Whitefish aims to place our small mountain town on the map as a premier art destination. We hope that you join us for a couple of beautiful June days in Whitefish, Montana!
Summer ArtFest is designed to showcase some of the best artists from the Western art world in arguably Montana’s most picturesque city. Inspired with building a community in mind, this show has plans to expand into a week-long annual event encompassing all art forms and spread throughout the downtown Whitefish area.

All Day – Plein Air Paint Out

Invitation only, open to all artists. Come join artist Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey at her favorite outdoor spots around Whitefish for receiving some of that “outside” inspiration.
FRIDAY, JUNE 25TH
10:00 am – 5:00 pm Silent Auction goes live at the Cawdrey Gallery

3:00 pm – 5:00 pm Interview with Chadd Scott
Location: TBD
Open to the public, come listen to Forbes Art Contributor Chadd Scott discuss the current state of art in the United States as well as what small towns like Whitefish mean to the larger art communities.
6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Kick-Off Reception and Welcome to the Valley Party

6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Cocktail Meet & Greet with the Artists
Location: Cawdrey Gallery, 206 Lupfer Ave, Unit 102, Whitefish
Open to the public, join us for an evening of perusing our gallery and having the opportunity to discuss your favorite works with the artists that made them. Also take the opportunity to place a bid on your favorite silent auction work while you still can!
SUNDAY, JUNE 27TH
Location for all events on Sunday are at the Patio at 204 Wisconsin Ave, Whiterfish
1:00 pm – 5:30 pm Silent Auction open
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm Artist Quick-Finish
Open to the public, come engage with the Summer ArtFest artists as they do final touches on their artworks that will be subsequently live auctioned. A great opportunity to ask questions and witness art-making processes of all sorts!
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm Live Auction
Whether you are a collector, artist, or visitor, don’t miss being a part of the excitement as premiere auctioneer Troy Black auctions off the artworks finished in the Quick-Finish event.

The Mission of Summer ArtFest at Whitefish 2021
The mission of Summer ArtFest at Whitefish is to create a space for artists of all backgrounds to gather and share their love for the arts through their unique chosen expression. Community engagement is paramount to the festival, and its eventual week-long format is meant to encompass all art forms, all throughout downtown Whitefish and beyond. Working together, the Summer ArtFest at Whitefish will be a monumental influence in the shaping of Whitefish as a Fine Art Destination.
