Linda Burnett was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1953 as one of 14 children. It was not until she was a Junior in high school that she took art classes and fell in love with drawing and painting and later attended the University of South Alabama.

Burnett works primarily in acrylics. Working with mixed mediums such as the gold and silver leaf provides another dimension of light to her work.

“My grandmother, who went blind just after I was born, greatly influenced my love of color. As you can see in my work, vibrant colors and contrasts are prevalent throughout my paintings. My hope and prayer in all my creations is to bring light and intense color to those that may need to be uplifted and to bring joy into their lives. “
