About Jim Lang

Share this:

After two years at the Colorado Institute of Art, I attended the University of Northern Colorado where I majored in Art and Business. I then taught art at the high school level and developed the oil painting curriculum for Rangely Community College. A number of my high school students received national prestigious art scholarships and awards.

As I pursued my art, my interest has always been in painting western, wildlife and landscapes. I strive to represent the flavor and realism of the subject matter. Other interests have been in wildlife sculptures and carvings. I collect American Indian pottery and artifacts and have done photography.

I have received first place in nature from A.C.C and Photographic Society of America and many Best of Show awards in photo competitions. My photography was also researched for my artwork. I reside in Arizona. A deer hoof marks my signing on each painting.
